Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Construction Site Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will work on local job sites during non-travel periods. When travel work is required, you will oversee job sites in multiple locations, managing subcontractor crews, ensuring quality control, optimizing job sequencing, and maintaining project profitability. You will also serve as the primary point of contact with General Contractor (GC) superintendents and our customers, representing our company with professionalism and dedication.
Key Responsibilities:
Local Job Sites:
Work will be a mix of crew painter, crew foreman, or multi-site superintendent as needed.
Provide hands-on assistance to maintain workflow and project timelines.
Travel Assignments:
Perform supervisory duties, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards.
Provide hands-on assistance to maintain workflow and project timelines. Our employees should be productive at all times. Though the position is primarily meant for management, it is not a walking-foreman position. Work alongside crews is often expected.
Travel between job sites to oversee project execution and performance. Our projects will generally be western pa based, but also can frequently range from Columbus, OH to Philadelphia.
Manage subcontractor crews to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
Optimize job sequencing to meet deadlines and maximize profitability.
Collaborate with GC superintendents to address project needs, achieve preferable project sequencing, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions, fostering strong relationships and upholding our reputation.
Qualifications:
Commercial painting experience & knowledge.
Proven experience in construction site supervision or project management.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, job sequencing, and quality control.
Ability to manage and motivate subcontractor crews effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with GC superintendents, subcontractors and clients.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently and work at various job sites as required.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to handle multiple projects.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Be drug free.
When traveling, conduct yourself professionally even if off hours as you are a representative of the company at all times.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with improving job profitability.
Proficiency in construction software or project management tools.
Knowledge of construction safety. Safety certifications preferred but not necessary (OSHA 30, PMP, etc.).
Work Conditions:
Split time between local job sites and travel to various locations based on project needs.
Frequent travel and extended stays at remote job sites.
Outdoor work environments subject to varying weather conditions.
