POSITION DESCRIPTION – TWO CHATHAM CENTER
GARAGE/MAIN LOBBY SECURITY GUARD
The purpose of security is to provide a safe and visual deterrent from any mischievous activities. All positions in the security department are highly visible, public positions that often serve as the first point of contact with Two Chatham Center and its management and staff.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist tenants and guests in any way needed as our guidelines allow.
Provide escort service upon request for garage patrons who request it.
Keep a close look out for suspicious actors by observing, detecting, deterring and reporting undesirable behaviors.
Check stairwells and behind blind corners and columns for trespassers.
Monitor and report any parking violations within the Garage.
Maintain constant patrol of garage – with tours approximately every 30 minutes as required by municipal ordinance – except when assigned other duties.
Report on time and begin tour immediately; continue through the end of shift.
Include the Valet parking area above the G6 entrance and around the Washington Place and Fifth Avenue sides of the office building in tours; third shift to complete at least two rounds through the valet area.
Occasionally assist with directly traffic during large events nearby, as requested by Management.
Complete at least 14 tours per shift, accessing all programmed checkpoints on each.
Prepare Incident Reports as needed.
