Stepanian & Menchyk, LLP is a general practice law firm with an emphasis on municipal law. We are seeking an individual for a full-time administrative legal assistant position.
Essential skills and Responsibilities include:
. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (outlook, word, excel)
. Ability to transcribe dictation
. Ability to type correspondence and legal documents such as deeds and pleadings
. Organization of client files and data entry to include document creation, maintenance, archiving and retrieval both physically & digital with efficient organization
. Manage and update the company and attorney calendars with precision, ensuring accurate scheduling and making necessary adjustments
Take care of administrative tasks and office correspondence, including incoming and outgoing mail, answering phone calls and respondingto emails.
. Assist with the preparation of documents, mailings and proofreading as needed.
Promptly meet all deadlines
The position will also involve client contact both over the telephone and in-person.
Previous legal experience is preferred. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, adept in problem solving, eager to learn, organized, detail-oriented and possess the ability to work with the public.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in keeping the office functioning efficiently, from coordinating meetings to maintaining complete and accurate files. This person will build collaborative working relationships with our lawyers and earn the trust of our clients
Rate of pay based upon experience.
