Job Description: General Laborer for Construction and Sandblasting
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer, specializing in construction and sandblasting projects. Responsibilities:
Assist in Construction Projects:
Help with the preparation of construction sites before beginning work.
Load and unload construction materials and move them to work areas.
Assist in setting up scaffolding and ladders under the supervision of a qualified worker.
Sandblasting Tasks:
Operate sandblasting equipment following safety guidelines and instructions.
Clean surfaces using abrasive blasting techniques to prepare them for painting or coating.
Maintain equipment and ensure proper storage and handling of abrasive materials.
General Labor Duties:
Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and tools.
Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and trash.
Dig trenches, compact earth, and backfill holes as needed.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Report any safety concerns or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within budget.
Follow instructions and ask for clarification when necessary.
Requirements:
Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is advantageous.
High school diploma or equivalent.
