Queer/POC owned Bakery in Point Breeze focused on allergen free and vegan bread, bagels, pastry, cookies, cakes and sweet breads. We are looking for an experienced baker to join the team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare assorted baked goods according to established recipes
Maintain a clean kitchen and adhere to health and safety standards
Manage stock
Finish pastries, cakes and sweet breads.
Requirements:
Commercial Baking or food industry cooking experience; additional training will be provided.
MUST be able to work quickly, clean and thoroughly.
MUST be able to lift up to 50lbs.
MUST be able to stand for entirety of shift.
Open to feedback and good communication.
Compensation includes subsidized health benefits (medical, dental, vision) after 3month period, flexible time off, Accrued paid time off after 6months.
Note: hourly wage is negotiable past listed range based on level of current experience and extent of training required for the position.
