Job Description

Looking for a change of pace or new opportunity in water resource engineering? The Pittsburgh office is looking for a mid-to-upper level hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) engineer to be responsible for growing our H&H practice, managing projects, and assisting with water resource engineering consulting services for a broad array of public and private clients.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.

Participate in pre-task planning.

Report safety issues or concerns to office management.

Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Assist with the following services:

Grow and Manage H&H Projects

Design and analyze using hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) modeling

Model flooding

Design stormwater management

Plan for shoreline and coastal resilience

Design stream restorations

Design dam projects and perform safety inspections

Analyze sediment transport

Investigate water resources

Process wetland and waterway permits

Assess and restore watersheds

Design AMD remediation

Assist with grant applications and management

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering; Master's degree in Environmental Engineering preferred.

EIT required and ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania required.

Active PE license in Pennsylvania preferred.

5+ years of project management experience in water resource engineering.

Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Valid driver's license.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong technical writing skills.

Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other database software.

Ability to utilize hydrology and hydraulics engineering computer software suites (i.e. HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, SWMM).

Ability to communicate ideas and technical information accurately, clearly and concisely to management, staff, team members and clients.

Ability to facilitate teamwork and work independently.
