5th Grade Science/Social Studies Teacher - 2024- 2025 School YearReports to: PrincipalSalary Range: $50,000.00-$61,986.88If you are a certified science and/or social studies teacher seeking a placement for the 2024- 2025 School Year, apply with us! The 5th Grade science/social studies teacher provides daily instruction based on a curriculum that aligns with our school's mission, vision, and values while also meeting state and national academic standards. Teachers at our school are strongly encouraged to engage in professional development and leadership opportunities in our collaborative, team-oriented staff environment.Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Education is required

Active PA certification in 4 - 8 social studies and/or science or elementary K - 6 certification is required.

Additional PA Certifications are preferred

Extensive knowledge of the Pennsylvania State Standards and Common Core

3 years experience in teaching a non-basal curriculum

Team planning of unit lessons and grade level curriculum

Support student entrepreneurial endeavors as part of our Microsociety and Entrepreneurship curriculum

Knowledge of content, pedagogy, and child development

Design coherent instruction and student assessments

Classroom management utilizing a school wide positive behavior support model

Attend mandatory school events at the discretion of the employee's supervisor

Attend one Board Meeting and one PTA meeting per school year

Active certifications which include google certification, and pertinent certifications per administration
