The Systems and Software Analyst II is responsible for successful situational leadership of - and collaboration with - product and project teams by analyzing business and technical opportunities and challenges in order to execute effective system configuration, integration, implementation, and support activities.Location: Hybrid (see below), downtown Pittsburgh, PAJob Responsibilities:

The role balances three essential accountabilities:

Influence technical product strategy, direction, and goals by understanding business/technical context and working with product and project team members to deliver valuable functionality

Build and support relationships with key users and leadership, as well as suppliers

Work within the team to establish and maintain an understanding of the specific product lifecycle and system and process dependencies

Achieve product and project goals through collaboration within the team and across teams to determine what needs to be done, why, how, and by when

Maintain accountability for supporting the delivery of projects owned and led by the team, as well as participation in team-specific activities within larger-scale projects

Ensure progress is effectively tracked and communicated

Ensure products and systems are available to meet business needs (incl. on-call support rotation participation) and leverage lessons learned by applying them to our products and ways of working

Commitment to technical support, which is the backbone of the team. The efforts of support both influence - and are influenced by - the goals and outcomes of the dimensions described above.Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, graphic information systems, or related fields (equivalent experience/certifications/degrees will be taken into consideration) required.

Two (2) years' related experience required.

Related experience includes but isn't limited to: working in traditional (waterfall) and agile software delivery environments, integration and implementation of vendor applications, etc.Skills and Abilities Utilized in this Role Include:

Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills and the ability to exhibit sound technical judgment under pressure

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work well with others in a team atmosphere.

Experience with Python, Java, C#, Visual Basic, SQL, and Oracle/SQL Server databases is beneficial

Electric utility metering or billing experience beneficial (e.g. meter metrology, billing constructs for electric metering, advanced metering infrastructure software and/or hardware)Scope:

Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Typically accountable for managing one's own time and workflow. Responsible for using prescribed guidelines to analyze situations and solve problems. Work is typically of moderate complexity requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base and develop capabilities by partnering with more experienced staff as needed.Decision Impact

Problems and issues faced are vague but may be recognizable based on past experience. Accountable for some direct level of easoning and decision making in straightforward situations based on precedents.Hybrid Work

Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.Storm Roles

All Non-Union Employees will serve in storm roles as appropriate to their role and skillset. Please be sure to discuss storm roles with the hiring manager for this position, as duties can vary across the Company.Examples of storm roles could include but aren't limited to duties such as: working with operations for service center support or with the communications, customer service or government affairs teams to respond to public and customer requests for information, etc.Data Governance

Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
