Reports to:Manager of Retail SupportPosition Overview:

The Senior Centralized Approval Specialist holds responsibility for conducting second-tier enhanced due diligence and red flag reviews, monitoring accounts, approving, and/or escalating medium-high dollar monetary transactions within the Retail line of business. The incumbent will support team members by addressing questions and concerns related to complex transactions that pose a risk to the line of business. Additionally, they prepare documentation and coordinate approvals for high-dollar transactions from senior leadership. The role involves assisting management in developing procedures, reporting, and conducting gap analyses to identify opportunities for efficiencies.Primary Responsibilities:

Evaluates and offers disposition guidance on transactions escalated by other team members. Conducts enhanced due diligence on transactions with elevated risk, providing recommendations for subsequent actions or escalating to second-line partners.Responsible for reviewing and analyzing customer transaction requests to ensure adherence to proper procedures and safeguard the Bank/customers from errors or loss. Conducts due diligence to ensure the absence of red flags before granting approval for transactions within assigned limits. Holds authorization to approve transactions at a higher level.Aids in formulating and executing departmental processes, procedures, and internal controls, while establishing a framework for documentation and retention. Observes activities, results, and trends to identify gaps and opportunities for process improvement.Collaborates with executive leadership as needed for situations necessitating heightened approval owing to transaction size/volume. Engages with branch employees and/or customers to acquire any missing information, validate transaction details, and/or address issues hindering approval.Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.All employees have the responsibility and the accountability to serve as risk managers for their businesses by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing and monitoring the risk they encounter daily as required by F.N.B.
