Collaborates with the patient and physician to provide care.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts pre-procedural assessment and data collection. (25%)
Participates in the care of patients undergoing GI procedures. (25%)
Provides proper documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards and requirements. (25%)
Maintains a safe environment for patients from assessment through to the recovery period. (25%)
QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
CPR certification
1 year nursing experience or previous GI experience, if less than a year
Preferred
1 year critical care experience
2-3 years endoscopy experience
