Job SummaryPrepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board IRB applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.Essential FunctionsThis position will assist with the building and creation of a new research hub and Center that will broadly focus on Neighborhoods, Climate, Food and Social Policy and Epidemiology in Action. The person in this position will also assist 20-30% time with departmental related duties in faculty affairs.

Manage day-to-day activities for Center and support of affiliated postdoctoral and graduate students

Assist with proposal-related duties to help support the Center including a T-32 proposal

Assist with running a seminar series as well as a journal club

Develops research partnerships with other academic institutions, community stakeholders/nonprofits and research departments

Assists in preparing and reviewing grant applications, manuscripts, IRB applications, and research papers before submission

Assist PIs and research staff in the presentation of research data at conferences and university related research seminars

Assist with Department of Epidemiology faculty affairs including assistance with maintaining faculty appointments and promotions Physical Effort
