The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University was established in 1979 to conduct basic and applied research in robotics technologies relevant to industrial and societal tasks. Seeking to combine the practical and the theoretical, we have diversified efforts and approaches to robotics science while retaining the original goal of realizing the potential of the robotics field.Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute is searching for a Postdoctoral Fellow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.Job Functions:
Participate in research involving advanced robotics for manufacturing, especially robot motion planning and humanrobot collaboration.
Communicate with collaborators, prepare research documents (monthly report), write papers
Mentor graduate studentsRequired skill set:
At least 2 years of experience in programming for industrial robots (in particular, FANUC, Yaskawa)
Published first-authored papers on top robotics conferences, e.g., ICRA, IROS
Good oral and writing communication skills
