Managing the strategic sourcing and supporting the organization with new product introduction activities, end of life/obsolescence mitigation, and act as supplier relationship owner for escalation of sustaining issues in support of the procurement team.Essential Functions
Create, implement, and maintain supply chain strategies that optimize the performance of the supply chain.
Develop reporting and toolsets to support all strategic sourcing activity to monitor ongoing spend, trends, and cost avoidance activities.
Managing and develop relationships with suppliers of build-to-print assemblies and off-the-shelf components.
Ensure ongoing development of suppliers through quarterly business reviews, audits and onsite visits.
Monitoring performance and compliance against contractual requirements to ensure that the obligations specified in supply agreements are being satisfied.
Master Supply Agreements, Inventory Agreements, Development Agreements, Material Purchasing Agreements, etc.
Ensuring that organizational obligations to suppliers are met in accordance with contractual agreements.
Identifying and managing potential supply risks in accordance with risk management policies and procedures.
Investigating and resolving non-compliance concerns in accordance with contractual terms.
Ensure ongoing project management approach to open sourcing projects, and proactively communicate progress to key objectives.
Supporting negotiations related to contract renewals and changes.
Travel of up to 30% is required. Most travel is regional/domestic in nature, with limited international travel.
Identify and implement opportunities for improvements within the supply chain.
Maintain ongoing knowledge of current commodity and market conditions and take proactive measures to protect supply.
Develop relationships with the design community and provide support for new product development.
Engage suppliers early in the development process to optimize costs and to maximize the manufacturability of product designs.
Partner with Supplier Quality team to ensure alignment on key objectives and projects.
Manage supplier strategic business reviews; monitor progress on any resulting action items.
In alignment with defined strategies, support sour ing team in researching, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers based on technical competence, capacity, support, availability, reliability, and the supplier's reputation and history.
Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
Review commercial terms and conditions, claims and contracts to ensure value and conformance to company policy.
Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.
Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Supply Chain required.
MBA preferred.
Experience in development of category strategies in support of manufacturing operations required.
Experience in negotiation of supply agreements and other contracts required.
5 years of relevant sourcing/procurement management experience required.
Project Management experience preferred.
Epicor, SQL, Power BI experience preferred.
Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment (electronics and/or electro-mechanical) required.
