Job SummaryManages day-to-day laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices. Works with, adapts, and installs scientific equipment in research laboratories. Collaborates on routine projects and procedures. Manages inventory and equipment and performs budget functions.Essential FunctionsThe Department of Neurobiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks individuals to fill the following research position. Successful candidate will be a Lab Manager, responsible for managing an autonomic nervous system laboratory studying how the brain regulates blood pressure and kidney function. Duties will include:1. 1. Managing transgenic rat colonies
2. Perform histology and immunofluorescence
3. In vivo blood pressure monitoring via telemetry
4.
