Assistant / Associate Professor Department of Orthopaedic Surgery University of Pittsburgh School of MedicineThe Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is recruiting full-time faculty members at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the appointment non-tenure stream. The qualified applicant will be actively involved in patient care; medical student, resident, and fellow teaching; and orthopaedic research as determined by the Chair and associated division chief.

Trauma Qualifications:
A medical degree from an accredited medical school;
Completion of an accredited orthopedic residency training program;
Completion of an accredited trauma fellowship program;
Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania;
Board-eligible or Board-certification in orthopedic surgery.
Qualified physician applicants should have a significant interest and ability in clinical care and teaching. As part of an academic faculty, dedication to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows will be required. Candidates should possess strong clinical, interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills, as well as a history of scholarly publications and presentations, and evidence of interest in and involvement in research. Academic rank [Assistant 0-5 years of experience / Associate 6-9 years of experience ] is commensurate with prior academic achievements and experience.
