Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role is primarily focused on data entry and related tasks within the accounts payable function. It is a position that would benefit from familiarity with accounts payable processes, coding invoices, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Responsibilities: Performing data entry and related tasks in an automated invoice system, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency Rectifying discrepancies where the system has not been able to populate invoice details correctly Assisting the accounts payable team during the implementation of new software Leveraging accounting knowledge or experience with numbers-driven data entry to enhance performance in role Ensuring all customer credit records are accurate and up-to-date Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Resolving customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations with a keen understanding of invoice processing and payment procedures Demonstrated ability in coding invoices, ensuring accuracy in billing and payment details Strong data entry skills, with a focus on precision and speed in inputting financial information Advanced knowledge and practical use of Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets, performing complex calculations, and generating financial reports Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, maintaining the integrity of financial data Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple accounts and invoices Capability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with other finance professionals to achieve departmental goals Solid communication skills to liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments regarding payment queries and account reconciliations Familiarity with accounting software and systems, enabling efficient and seamless accounts payable operations Understanding of financial regulations and standards, ensuring compliance in all accounts payable activities.
