Final Mile Account Manager
We are seeking a dynamic, solution-oriented, and highly motivated Account Manager for Final Mile to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with key clients, overseeing final mile logistics operations, and ensuring the smooth, efficient movement of goods across domestic and international networks. This role requires not only a deep understanding of final mile management and supply chain dynamics but also the ability to juggle multiple clients, stakeholders, and freight needs with the finesse of a circus performer — just without the glitter and acrobatics (unless that’s your thing, of course).
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
o Manage and supervise the final mile delivery team, including drivers, contractors, and third-party delivery partners. Provide training, coaching, and performance management.
o Proactively identify opportunities to improve service delivery, ensuring clients’ supply chains are more efficient, cost-effective, and, dare we say, smoother than a well-oiled machine.
o Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with key accounts, ensuring they stay loyal (and happy) by consistently exceeding their expectations.
Logistics Coordination & Freight Operations:
o Oversee day-to-day operations of final mile shipments, managing the end-to-end process from initial order to final delivery.
o Troubleshoot issues in real-time, acting as the client’s advocate and the company's problem-solver, ensuring that hiccups (be they customs delays or that one rogue forklift) don't derail the entire operation.
Contract Management:
o Review contracts regularly, identifying areas for improvement or renegotiation and managing any changes with transparency.
Reporting & Data Analysis:
o Use data insights to identify trends, proactively suggest improvements, and help clients optimize their supply chain efficiency (while making you look like a logistical genius in the process).
Sales Support & Business Growth:
o Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities, leveraging existing relationships and industry knowledge to bring in fresh clients.
o Stay on top of industry trends, market rates, and emerging technologies to ensure you remain a valuable resource for your clients and can spot new opportunities for growth.
Skills and Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in freight, logistics, or a related field (we won’t judge if you started in the mailroom; it’s the freight journey that counts).
Strong communication skills — you’ll need to talk the talk and walk the walk, both with clients and vendors.
A solid understanding of supply chain operations, freight regulations, and transportation management systems.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail (because in logistics, the devil is always in the details).
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously (because your freight never sleeps, and neither can you).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and freight management software (bonus points for knowledge of TMS or ERP systems).
Pay:
$45,000.00-$75,000.00
Schedule:
Monday-Friday
