POSITION AVAILABLE: LEAD CARPENTER
With over 20 years of experience, RBS General Contracting specializes in home remodeling, renovations and residential redevelopment in the Bucks and Montgomery County areas. We are looking for motivated and experienced carpenters to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY
Excellent opportunity for a qualified Lead Carpenter with minimum seven years’ experience in rough and finish carpentry and other areas of residential construction. The ideal candidate will be able to manage job sites with employees and trade contractors as well as work independently to complete projects. As the front line in achieving company goals, the Lead Carpenter must focus on product quality and customer satisfaction. Pay based on experience and capabilities.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the home remodeling field
Knowledge of construction methods and various trades such as demolition, framing, basic HVAC/Elec/Plumbing, underlayment, drywall hanging, taping and finishing, painting, flooring installation, finish carpentry (trim, case, base, shoe, crown, cabinet installation), window, door and siding installation
Able to problem solve and troubleshoot
Solve math problems quickly and accurately
Ability to interact and communicate well with the customers and various contractors throughout the job
Self-starter and independent worker with attention to detail
Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Carpenter is completely responsible for the successful completion of the jobs given to them, which includes completing on time, on budget, and maintaining a high level of quality, safety, and professional communication. Lead Carpenters work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in tight spaces and must be able to adapt to conditions and circumstances. They work with various hand tools and must keep their tools and worksite in a clean, safe condition. The Lead Carpenter may at times need to deal with customer requests, questions, and inquires in a polite and business-like manner.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 75 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment.
Must have own basic carpentry tools and reliable transportation (Van/Truck).
Criminal and motor vehicle background check required.
Must pass a drug test (if requested), hold a valid driver’s license and provide own cell phone.
