In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing the data interchange between our client systems and ESP applications while collaborating with other departments’ projects as they relate to integration. You will play a key role in presenting strategy and project progress to other teams and management, while also shaping department strategy by engaging with both internal and external customers.

The Director, Data Integrations will report to the Sr. Vice President, Product Development and Support. You’ll join our Information Services department and will work closely with the development team and other departments on projects related to integrations.

This is “hands-on” position that oversees the development, analysis, interpretation, and management of a variety of data sources to support ASI data integration initiatives. We are looking for someone who possesses a strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, a positive professional attitude, the ability to think outside the box, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 – $125,000.

Responsibilities:

Collaborating with other departments’ projects as they relate to integrations.

Presents strategy and project progress to other teams and management.

Setting department strategy by engaging with both internal and external customers.

Analyzes and manages the data interchange between client systems and ESP applications.

Translating data needs into requirements for development and implementation.

Working in conjunction with the development team to establish an initial connection to the customers published endpoints.

Leveraging appropriate tools in conjunction with the relevant test environments to execute the iterative process of importing the product data, analyzing the error report to identify areas to be addressed and working with the development team and/or the customer to identify strategies and changes to be made to increase the success rate until to a point where it is deemed sufficient.

Creating basic Quality Assurance (QA) test plans and validating data for accuracy.

Reviewing the error reports as they are produced (typically weekly).

Managing data mapping efforts, assist with legacy data analysis and importing activities.

Analyzing, developing, and maintaining integration processes, procedures and documentations.

Authoring and maintaining technical documentation for API integration & instructions.

Analyzing the reports and providing insights into trends (by supplier or in general) and identifying areas of concern or opportunities to improve the success rate.

Engaging with the relevant suppliers when appropriate to determine steps either address identified concerns or possibly realize the identified improvements.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related degree or 5 years’ experience in Data Analyst field

Previous managerial experience required.

Experience with XML and JSON file formats is preferred

Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting SOAP and REST APIs using tools such as SOAP UI is strongly preferred.

Highly skilled in using Microsoft Excel for analysis and presentation of data.

Experience with SQL queries is a plus.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong writing skills.

Experience in IT architecture practices, project lifecycle management, software development and operations/support.

Initiative to push projects and issues through to resolution.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines.
