Job Description:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Plant Health Care Technician to join our team! This role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and maintaining the health of trees and landscapes using environmentally responsible practices.
Responsibilities:
Assess trees, shrubs, and plants for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
Apply fertilizers, insecticides, and fungicides as needed (following industry best practices)
Perform soil testing and recommend appropriate treatments
Implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies
Prune and trim trees/shrubs to promote health and growth
Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings with clients
Operate and maintain spray equipment and other plant care tools
Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications:
Experience in tree care, landscaping, or plant health (preferred but not required)
Knowledge of tree and plant species, common diseases, and treatment methods
Ability to safely handle and apply pesticides (PA pesticide license is a must)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Drivers License
