We are a small real estate company that is seeking a paid ($12 per hour) summer intern that wants to learn. We represent tenants in the acquisition or lease of commercial real-estate, mainly office space. The company is based in Center City. The owner started in commercial real estate twenty years ago and opened his own brokerage company 14 years ago after 10 years of being under corporate umbrellas and large organizations. This position will directly support the owner of the company. Ideal candidate must have experience with computers and technology. Real estate experience is not required. Candidate must also be detail oriented, organized, and able to multitask, and be time efficient. The person selected for this position MUST be comfortable cold calling on the phone and in person. The chosen candidate will spend most of his/her time cold calling from an office, walking from building to building (in Center City) to update old stacks (lists of tenants) per floor. At the end of your internship you will have a much clearer idea of how new business is developed, commercial real-estate and how it directly correlates to the tenant representation of office tenants.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have your own transportation
High level of confidentiality
Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be a self-starter and not require constant supervision
Must be motivated and confident.
Must be creative and able to think outside of "the box"
