Six Fishes is a bustling, inclusive acupuncture practice that relies on our warmth and expertise to create tailored wellness plans to support the health and well-being of Philadelphia's diverse community. We are seeking a part-time administrative assistant to join our team.

This is a part-time position at our Grays Ferry Location for approximately 25 hours per week, with Saturday, Sunday and Monday availability. The position is available immediately.

Responsibilities:

Extend a warm and friendly welcome to patients as they arrive, creating a positive first impression

Manage incoming calls and emails with professionalism and efficiency, scheduling appointments and responding to inquiries promptly

Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, ensuring a comfortable environment for our patients

Process payments accurately and assist in managing patient records with attention to detail

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for the practice. We need someone with GREAT people skillsthis is a customer service position first and foremost. As an ambassador for the practice, you should have a warm personality. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.

Basic technology skills are also required as we use online scheduling for our patients, as well as: email, text, and phone. Applicants must be conscientious, team players, punctual, and great communicators! This is a fully in-office, professional position. Being teachable and able to learn quickly are essential.

Our Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization, welcoming patients You will coordinate front-desk activities, including verifying insurance, collecting payments and copayments, answering phones and emails, and scheduling patients.

Other responsibilities include supporting the practitioners, inventory, cleaning, and other forms of assistance to the patients and clinical staff. You should be professional, detail-oriented, open to learning, and seeking a workplace you can take pride in. An applicant should be friendly, attentive, and proactive, able to learn applications, and skilled at talking on the phone and answering questions.

You should be:

Passionate about wellness - not just in the instagram sense of wellness but in health-based approaches.

Technically adept - practice is fully electronic and uses Janeapp EHR, basecamp, Microsoft Office, and google suite

Articulate - able to communicate well both with staff and outside the company within the medical and wellness world.

Discrete: This is a medical practice, and complying with HIPAA is essential.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED/ OR equivalent experience

1+ years of customer service experience

Ability to work afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts

Strong interpersonal skills and communication

A warm and welcoming attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in the healthcare or medical field

Experience in insurance verification and eligibility

Understanding of insurance policies and procedures

Experience with Apple computers, Microsoft Office, EMR systems
