Repair Technician Responsibilities:
1. Construction:
Assist in constructing, remodeling, and renovating buildings and structures.
Perform framing, drywall installation, painting, flooring, roofing, and other construction tasks as needed.
2. Property Maintenance:
Perform regular inspections of properties to identify issues such as plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, or structural damage.
Carry out repairs on damaged or malfunctioning systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
Ensure buildings are compliant with safety and building codes.
3. General Repairs:
Address general maintenance issues, including fixing broken windows, doors, locks, and gates.
Patch walls, repair ceilings, and perform other minor carpentry work.
Install or replace light fixtures, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
4. Plumbing and Electrical Work:
Perform basic plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains, repairing leaks, and installing pipes or fixtures.
Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues such as faulty wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting.
5. Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment to ensure longevity and functionality.
Regularly check HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and appliances to prevent breakdowns or costly repairs.
6. Equipment and Tools Management:
Operate and maintain construction and maintenance equipment, such as power tools, hand tools, and machinery.
Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored.
7. Safety Compliance:
Follow safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries while working on-site.
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and local building codes.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a safe working environment.
8. Collaboration:
Work closely with property owners, supervisors, and other construction professionals to ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and complete projects efficiently.
9. Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of repairs, materials used, and maintenance schedules.
Document completed construction and maintenance tasks for future reference.
