Lead Automotive Technician Trainee

1. Summary of the Position

Responsible assisting store management with supervising Automotive Technician Trainees. Supervises, directs, and motivates associates to execute timely and error-free tire and automotive services following established company policies and procedures. Assists in controlling supply expenses by conducting cycle counts and placing supply orders.

2. Key Essential Responsibilities

o Performs tire services, battery installations, oil changes, maintenance services, and multi-point inspections, notating condition that exist on vehicles, following established processes and procedures.

o Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.

o Maintain service department, per housekeeping and safety standards, providing a safe and clean working environment.

o Helps with unloading/ loading of trucks and warehouse duties.

o Delegate and follow up on tasks assigned to ATT’s.

o Inventory stores supplies and orders as needed through approved programs.

o Daily/Weekly/Monthly maintenance of PM equipment.

o Cycle count of tires monthly.

o All other duties as assigned by management.

3. Experience/Education/Other Requirements

o High school diploma or equivalent

o At least 18 years of age

o Have a valid drivers’ license, acceptable driving history and access to reliable transportation

o Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs., often repetitively

o Must be able to adapt to severe climate variances

o Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations in a professional manner.

o 2 Years of Automotive Preventive Maintenance experience.
