Overview:
We are looking for reliable Grocery Associates to support our Wellness & Grocery Program. The Grocery Program Associate will work with co-workers and management to prepare foods and dry goods for weekly grocery deliveries with our partners. Team members should be self-starters who can prioritize the task at hand. Must be able to comply with food safety guidelines for safe execution.
The FareRx Grocery Program prepares and delivers fresh groceries to members of the Philadelphia community. The position will give you experience with sustainable and local food supply chain and distribution operations.
You will need transportation to our Headquarters in Philadelphia daily. We provide HIPAA and FWA certification.
This starts off as a contract job, but may evolve into a full-time position considering performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
> Pack bags for driver pick up in efficient and organized manner
> Prepare, portion, and label various food items for distribution
> Pack bags for driver pick up in efficient and organized manner
> Receive and put away daily deliveries of food and supplies, may include lifting up to 50 lbs
> Maintain a clean work environment by assisting with dishes, trash removal, and sanitizing of work spaces
Qualifications & Requirements:
> High School Diploma or equivalent
> Ability to lift/carry heavy items (20 lbs)
> Attention to detail
> Proficiency in multitasking and prioritization
> Positive attitude
> Strong work ethic - the person who goes the extra mile whenever possible
> Commitment to teamwork - take personal responsibility for creating a positive work environment
> Willingness to comply with all local and organizational guidelines set forth to provide a safe and clean work environment.
Schedule:
Weekdays - 8 hours
Hours of Operation: 7am - 7pm

The menus are chef planned and dietician reviewed with the goal of maximizing nutritional density while improving health outcomes, member satisfaction, and retention.
To date we have hand-delivered over 60,000 bags of groceries and will continue to pursue our mission to help people lead healthier lives and support a healthier planet.
