The Npage Studio ceramic collections combine timeless aesthetics with traditional methods—including slip casting and plaster mold making—to produce high-quality, small-batch pieces for home and lighting collections. We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Ceramics Production Assistant to support and grow with our in-house team.

Position Overview

The Ceramics Production Assistant will work directly with our ceramicist and production team to support all aspects of slip-cast production—including casting, finishing, glazing, and mold making. This role is ideal for someone with foundational ceramic skills who enjoys process-driven work and takes pride in precision and craft.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain casting slip (mixing, sieving, and managing consistency)

Clean, assemble, and pour plaster molds for slip casting

Monitor casting times and carefully de-mold greenware

Clean, sponge, and finish cast pieces before bisque firing

Assist with mold making, including model prep, plaster mixing, and mold care

Support sanding, glazing, and surface finishing

Load and unload kilns with attention to safety and firing schedules

Keep the studio organized, clean, and well-stocked

Track material inventory and finished goods

Participate in quality control and occasional packing/shipping

Qualifications

Experience with ceramics, especially slip casting and/or mold making

Familiarity with studio equipment (kilns, plaster tools, mixers)

Comfortable with repetitive work and detail-oriented finishing

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Dependable, focused, and efficient

Interest in working with a small, design-driven team

Eagerness to learn and grow within a creative production environment
