Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong background in nutrition science, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. This position offers the opportunity for both part-time and full-time employment, with the potential for growth based on performance and job requirements.
The FareRx Grocery Program prepares and delivers fresh groceries to members of the Philadelphia community. The position will give you experience with sustainable and local food supply chain and distribution operations.
You will need transportation to our Headquarters in Philadelphia daily. We provide HIPAA and FWA certification.
This starts off as a contract job, but may evolve into a full-time position considering performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
> Provide individualized nutrition counseling and education to clients.
> Develop personalized meal plans based on clients' dietary needs and goals.
> Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and follow-up sessions.
> Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
> Stay current with nutrition research and trends to enhance client outcomes.
> Assist with company events and initiatives, including community outreach and educational seminars.
> Utilize telehealth technology for remote coaching sessions (experience preferred).
> Directly bill insurance as a registered dietician (RD) for our company.
> Verify insurance coverage for medical nutrition therapy (MNT).
> Collect patient information.
> Use appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes.
> Submit claims electronically or on paper with detailed medical records.
Qualification & Requirements:
> Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with active licensure in Pennsylvania.
> Minimum of three (3) years of experience in clinical or community nutrition settings.
> Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
> Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
> Telehealth coaching experience is a major plus.
> Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
> Ability to travel to various locations within the Philadelphia area.
> CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
