Full Job Description
Our growing Podiatry practice is looking for a part-time organized and dependable Medical Assistant. This person should have excellent communication and organization skills. The medical assistant tasks include rooming patients, taking vital signs, documenting health history and related medical information in patients’ electronic health records. Completing documents related to physician referrals, prescriptions and diagnostic testing; ordering, receiving and securing diagnostic imaging, ensuring that exam rooms are prepared for patient care, sterilizing instruments. Supporting the front desk as needed, which includes, but is not limited to greeting patients, scheduling, and insurance verification. Performs other duties as assigned and needed. An ideal candidate for us will have excellent communication and computer skills.
Previous medical office experience is helpful. We will train the preferred candidate.
Please NOTE we have 2 locations:
1311 South St, Philadelphia PA 19147 (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, occasional Saturdays)
29 Bala Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 (Wednesday, one day a week)
You will need to reliably commute to both locations.
Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and current certification (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) are required; two years’ experience in a podiatric practice is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
