Be the welcoming face of our patient-centered practice! We seek a friendly, detail-oriented, and

team-focused Front Desk Professional/ Ophthalmic associate to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide

compassionate care to enhance the patient experience, manage administrative tasks with efficiency, and directly contribute to the overall success of our practice's healthcare mission.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Exceptional Patient Experience:

o Greet patients warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone.

o Answer patient questions and address concerns with empathy and efficiency,

either directly or by referring them to the appropriate resources.

o Manage patient registration, including insurance verification and co-payment

collection, ensuring a smooth and streamlined process.

o Maintain meticulous and up-to-date patient records within the electronic health

record (EHR) system.

o Anticipate patient anxieties and provide reassurance, creating a comfortable and

welcoming environment.

o Diffuse challenging situations with patience, understanding, and skilled problem-

solving.

2. Administrative Excellence

o Optimize provider schedules and enhance patient satisfaction through efficient appointment scheduling.

o Notify providers promptly of patient arrivals to maintain smooth workflow.

o Prepare and manage patient EHR and other necessary documentation with accuracy.

o Assist with referrals, pre-authorizations, and insurance-related tasks for timely care delivery.

o Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area that reflects the practice's professional standards.

o Collaborate proactively with back-office staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the practice.

3. Financial Accuracy

o Verify patient financial records and collect charges accurately.

o File and expedite third-party claims efficiently to support timely reimbursement.

4. Optical lab work: Eyewear selection, fit, adjustment and/or minor repairs as needed. Show and recommend frames and lenses, explain product features and benefits to patients. Dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses to patients. Create and maintain a positive, clean and professional environment. Ensure all customer service complaints are handled effectively and efficiently.

Supplemental help with Visual field testing, contact lens training, patient scheduling as needed, etc

Optical Requirements: Previous optical experience preferred. Ability to present and sell eyeglass features and specialty lenses. Ability to learn optical knowledge. Effective interpersonal and customer service skills. Please email resume.
