Better Care is looking to hire a Direct Care Worker to work in the Philadelphia area. DCW will provide a number of services depending on the needs of the patient; these might include running errands, helping patient move around their homes, and assist patient with their activities of daily living. A good candidate must be reliable, self motivated, and caring as well as have a reliable mode of transportation.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Helps the elderly or physically disabled move from room to room around their homes.
-Assists individuals in dressing, bathing, and completing basic hygiene tasks.
-Oversees any required rehabilitation exercises.
-Ensures that individuals take their prescribed medications.
-Prepares meals that adhere to special dietary considerations.
-Assists with light cleaning and housework.
-Runs errands to the grocery store, laundromat, cleaners, drugstore, and other necessary locations.
-Serves as a companion for the elderly who live alone

-Possesses detailed knowledge of patient’s condition, symptoms, and medications.

-Possesses physical stamina required to help individuals move around.
-Reliable mode of transportation
Education requirement
High school diplomat or equivalent
HHA/CNA license preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Salary: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Holidays
Monday to Friday
Night shift
Weekends as needed
