Job Summary:
As a Dairy Department Stocker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and organized operation of the dairy section within our store. Your responsibilities will include stocking dairy products, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stocking and Rotation:
o Unload dairy deliveries promptly and efficiently.
o Stock dairy products (such as milk, cheese, yogurt, and butter) on shelves and in refrigerated sections.
o Ensure proper rotation of products to maintain freshness.
o Monitor expiration dates and remove expired items promptly.
2. Inventory Management:
o Maintain accurate inventory levels by restocking as needed.
o Assist with inventory counts and audits.
o Collaborate with the team to manage stock levels effectively.
3. Product Handling:
o Handle dairy products with care to prevent damage.
o Follow proper storage and handling guidelines for dairy items.
o Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
4. Customer Service:
o Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers.
o Answer questions related to dairy products and their location.
o Escort customers to the service desk if additional assistance is needed.
5. Cleanliness and Organization:
o Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
o Sweep, mop floors in the dairy section.
o Keep backroom areas orderly and organized.
6. Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication skills.
o Attention to detail.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Adaptability to changing work demands.
o Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Requirements:
1. Physical Abilities:
o Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
o Stamina for extended periods of standing and walking.
o Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment.
2. Technical Skills:
o Basic math skills for counting and calculating inventory.
o Familiarity with inventory management and stocking procedures.
