Café Worker
Cosmic is hiring a responsible and energetic café worker with experience in customer service, food preparation and delivery.
Responsibilities
Learn to use Square, our POS system.
Take customers orders, politely and efficiently.
Learn to fill customers tickets, by making sandwiches, serving soups and hot foods. Using the correct portions and guidelines as trained.
Maintain the Bain Marie and Merchandiser in café with stock and keep up with inventory.
Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards.
Complete Serve Safe Certification
Participate in either opening or closing procedures.
Requirements
Able to stand at least 8 hours.
Fast learner with strong work ethic
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team to ensure timely and organized workflow.
Punctual, organized and detail oriented.
Proactive and open with communication.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with peers.
Cooking experience or love of food.
Commitment to people and sustainability.
Hours and Compensation
We offer both Ft and/or PT Seasonal positions, an hourly rate is dependent on experience.
Ideal candidate will have flexibility, as some days are longer than others.
The season runs March until end of October with other possible opportunities for late fall and winter employment, might be available.
Pay day is every Friday after 10am, direct deposit is available. Tips are shared and given out with checks.
3 Cosmic work shirts will be given after the first full week of service.
Each shift an employee is offered a free meal when it is timely.
Please understand we are a food service establishment; therefore nights, weekends and holidays are our busiest times.
