Now Hiring: Barista / Sandwich Maker (Full-Time or Part-Time) — Brewerytown / Fairmount
We’re excited to reopen a neighborhood favorite in Brewerytown/Fairmount, featuring Elixr Coffee Roasters and a carefully crafted food menu. We’re looking for a versatile, team-oriented individual to join us in a dual role that blends barista work with sandwich prep and light cooking.
About the Role:
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in compact, fast-paced environments and enjoys both crafting quality coffee and working a small food line. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team, sharing responsibilities where you would primarily focus on kitchen but have additional help from rest of staff
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve espresso drinks and drip coffee to specialty standards
Assemble sandwiches and assist in light kitchen prep using fresh ingredients
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation across both bar and kitchen areas
Communicate efficiently with team members to keep service smooth and timely
Deliver consistent quality while engaging warmly with customers
Qualifications:
At least 1–2 years of experience in a specialty café and small kitchen environment.
Experience with espresso equipment and confidence with basic food preparation.
Comfortable working with a small detail oriented team
Strong organizational habits, cleanliness, and ability to multitask.
Philadelphia Food Safety Certificate holders will receive additional compensation.
What We Offer:
Competitive hourly pay $15 plus tips.
Full-time preferred (4 shifts/week), but part-time applicants are welcome.
Shifts generally fall between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
