Teacher Assistant- Early Intervention preschool

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania  Early Intervention center seeks energetic and passionate Teacher Assistants to serve young children with disabilities within our specialized preschool program in the Wynnfield section of Philadelphia . The Teacher Assistant will provide supervision, instructional and behavioral support to the students. Essential responsibilities include assisting the PDE certified classroom Teacher with all lessons and activities, providing personal care, taking data, organizing and supervising children in various educational and therapeutic activities throughout the day. The successful candidate must have the ability to assist the classroom Teacher with working on Individualized Educational Plans (IEP)and implementing strategies as well as assisting with the daily routine of implementing the preschool program in a safe environment. This position involves the school year plus a 5 or 6 week summer program.Strong communication skills, high energy, and desire to have fun with children in a team setting a must! This position provides an excellent opportunity to be employed within a well-established program as part of our support team working with children with disabilities.
