The work we do here matters.Department OverviewThis department is responsible for selling Motorola Solutions public safety applications to city, county and state agencies that supports the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.MSI seeking an experience sales professional to lead efforts for the Pennsylvania State Accounts. This person would be responsible for selling all of MSI's offerings while developing into a trusted advisor to differnet state agencies for their public safety communications and technology needs.Job Description

The Sr. Account Manager will be responsible but not limited to the following:Responsible for sales, strategic account planning, and overall relationship management for the Pennsylvania State Police, Dept. of Corrections, Dept. of Transportation and other state agencies. Product and service portfolio includes communications technology as well as software and services to enhance the mission critical missions of Motorola's customersDevelop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within and outside of public safetyincluding legislative officials in order to understand and influence technology and funding priorities.Ability to administer and negotiate state contractsDevelop and implement a comprehensive sales plan for each "target" account and or geography and their buying centers covering the full portfolio of Motorola products and services (core,software enterprise,and emerging technologies)Assemble and coordinate a diverse team of internal & external sales resources to assess customer's needs and address their requirementsAct as a trusted advisor to influence customer's technology platform decisions and develop preference and loyalty for Motorola SolutionsProactively develop large project opportunities encompassing a wide range of products and servicesProactively engage and lead channel partners in selling Motorola products and services to customers buying centers where appropriateProactively engage Motorola executive sponsors to build a strategic relationship to position long term opportunities for Motorola SolutionsDevelop Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged across an entire "target" accountAbility to travel 50% to customers in PennsylvaniaSpecific Knowledge and Skills:Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience OR 8+ years of sales/public safety experiencePrevious Public Safety Experience is a plusSeeking previous outside sales experience selling solutions into government organizations preferredCandidates must have sales experience and a deep understanding of software solutions including use case, integrations, and the deployment of applications to meet customer objectivesHigh tech solutions sales experience a plusStrong relationship development and management skillsExperience utilizing strategic account management practicesExcellent communication skills (oral, written & presentation)Ability to quickly learn new key characteristics of products/solutions and communicate the value of those solutions to customersExcellent negotiation skillsAbility to develop and maintain relatio ships with a C-Level executivesAdditional background checks could be required at customers sitesBasic Requirements
