Purolite, an Ecolab Company, the world leader in resin-based separation, purification and extraction technology, is seeking aSecond Chemical Operator - Copolymer. In this role, you will be responsible for simultaneously effective operation of bead hoppers, rotex screeners, kek and minox screeners including valving, transfer pumps, exhaust blowers, other related equipment/process vessels and supporting services in accordance with published procedures.Responsibilities:

Simultaneously effective operation of bead hoppers, rotex screeners, kek and minox screeners including valving, transfer pumps, exhaust blowers, other related equipment/process vessels and supporting services in accordance with published procedures.

Effective operation of areas under the screeners and all associated equipment, scales, control panel(s), and other related equipment and supporting services in accordance with published procedures.

Assists First Operator conducting polymerization operations.

Responsible for rotaps and assisting in cleaning dryer and associated equipment.

Monitors and controls product yields; identifies low yields to First Operator or shift supervisor

Responsible for production times in related areas and for indicating on shift notes why production times exceed normal. Completes and initials procedure steps

Responsible for the quality of product produced

Must qualify as a licensed forklift operator

Reports any unusual occurrences relating to processes and equipment to shift supervisor

Consistently follows plant good manufacturing practices

Performs other duties as assignedEducational and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Previous mechanical skillsWork week and shift: Rotating twelve-hour shifts days, nights, and weekends.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

Must always be safety conscious for self and others. Computer literate with basic writing skills. Has the ability to initiate tasks and work in an independent manner. Must be able to communicate with visitors, professional and plant personnel.Contacts and Relationships:

Interfaces with other department personnel in the corporate office, administration and plant locations as necessary

Requires good communication, interpersonal skills and interacts well with external customers, visitors, employees and management in other departmentsWorking Conditions:

Position operates in an environment in which there may be temperature extremes and exposure to weather, excessive noise and vibrations, moving mechanical parts, electric shock, hazardous chemicals, gases, odors, hot liquids or equipment. May work in high, low or confined spaces.Physical Requirements:

Position requires lifting/pushing/carrying up to 50 pounds chest high.
