Human Resources is hiring a temporary employee to join the HR Service Center team as a Front Desk/Student Onboarding Assistant. The Front Desk/Student Onboarding Assistant will assist the HR Service Center team with onboarding related responsibilities by using multiple systems to conduct the following duties.
Essential Functions
Greet and welcome guests including Faculty, Students, and Professional staff.
Manage front desk operationsOpen and close HR suite
Assist walk-in guests with general HR questions and concerns/escalate to HRSC team members.
Provide employees with resources/ policy information.
Ordering and replenishing supplies
Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
Collect, scan/upload documentation for processing.
Complete I-9 section 2 with newly hired professional staff, faculty, and students.
Paperwork routing via email
Support HRSC with student onboarding
Draft student onboarding letters
Initiate I-9's through Tracker system.
Collect student new hire paperwork and route for processing.
Reply to student inquiries via email and provide status updates to inquiring departments.
Track student onboarding in PageUp applicant tracking system.
Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED
1 year of relevant work experience.
Proficient Microsoft Office or Office 365 skills.
Ability to work independently and take direction.
Ability to establish relationships and collaborate with HR colleagues.
Capacity to switch gears quickly and prioritize assignments.
Ability to work with a diverse population.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in HR, or Front Desk Customer Service role preferred.

Additional Information
This is a full-time, temporary position, classified as non-exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
