Grant Thornton is seeking a Growth Advisory Managing Director - Talent & Culture to join our team in New York, NY. Additional approved locations include Melville, NY; Iselin, NJ; Philadelphia, PA. As the Growth Advisory Managing Director – Talent & Culture, you’ll provide our clients with a structured approach to lead and enable transformation including governance, process optimization, talent management and organizational change management leadership with an emphasis on value realization for your Talent & Culture teams with a focus on the healthcare and financial services industries but with the ability to apply expertise across industry – all with the resources, environment and support to help you excel. You’ll collaborate with other Growth Advisory and industry leaders and grow the business through achievement of business development goals, leadership of internal and external initiatives and involvement in developing junior talent because together is how we succeed. From day one, you’ll be empowered by a culture of innovation, a collaborative community and internal reporting tools to achieve growth in the Talent & Culture practice and help you achieve more, confidently. Your day-to-day may include:

Proactively leading business development efforts including managing pursuit teams, drafting proposals and responses to requests for information, and leading business development interactions with prospects and clients.

Collaborating with other leaders in the organization to serve clients holistically across a variety of different solutions. With a focus on the healthcare and financial services industries, collaboration with those industry leaders and engagement teams will be key to success.

Leading client engagements in the areas of complex change leadership and management, business and digital transformation, talent management strategies, process improvement, and large-scale technology implementations.

Leading multiple client service delivery teams in the active execution of engagements and help ensure compliance with firm and practice unit service delivery standards.

Awareness of and willingness to learn and apply Six Sigma, Lean, change management methodologies, design thinking, and other performance improvement concepts to address client challenges.

Performing engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.

Actively participating in recruiting activities and coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to help foster team members’ professional growth and develop top performers.

Other duties as assigned

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced or Master’s degree preferred.

A minimum of 13 plus years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing clients at a national level.

Relevant certification such as a Certified Change Management Professional, Human Resource Certification Institute (any certification), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), PROSCI Change Management Certification, Six Sigma Black Belt, Six Sigma Green Belt, Society for HR Management (SHRM) SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP required. If you do not hold a relevant certification at time of hire, you must be able to earn one within 18 months of starting with Grant Thornton.

Prior business development and sales experience is required.

Prior experience in practice and team development is required.

Prior consulting experience required.

Extensive experience in the healthcare and financial services industry required.

Strong analytical skills and ability to perform quantitative analysis and develop business cases.

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to travel as needed. Expect 50% travel.

Benefits for internship positions: Grant Thornton interns are eligible to participate in the firm’s medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm’s employee assistance program. Interns also receive a minimum of 72 hours of paid sick leave, and are paid for firm holidays that fall within their internship period.
