Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a PC Technician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role primarily involves providing technical support in a bustling environment, maintaining hardware configurations, and ensuring seamless operations in a tech-driven workplace. The industry focus is on telecommunications, making this an excellent opportunity for those with a passion for technology and communication.2-DAY, SHORT-TERM PROJECTResponsibilities: Set up standard equipment such as projectors and screens, ensuring compatibility with the presenter's laptop. Assist presenters with connecting to the necessary devices and platforms, including microphones and the Worldly site. Provide real-time captioning support through Worldly, which involves converting verbal speech into text using AI and backend technology. Act as a helping hand to plug the jack into the laptop and attach the microphone to the presenters. Facilitate the process of scanning the QR code to redirect attendees to the Worldly site. Manage multiple rooms simultaneously, each accommodating around 30-50 people, providing technical support as needed. Utilize skills in Microsoft, Operating System, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Deployments, Deskside Support, Interpersonal Communication, and Plug-ins to ensure smooth operations. Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving, addressing and resolving any technical issues that arise during presentations. Adapt to various room settings and technical requirements, showcasing flexibility and technical expertise.Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience as a PC Technician or in a similar role Proficiency in Microsoft software applications Familiarity with various operating systems Hands-on experience with computer hardware including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Knowledge of configuration management and deployments Experience in deskside support and ability to provide technical assistance and resolution as necessary Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members Ability to work with plug-ins and understand their functionalities and uses A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to perform professional-level technical tasks.
