As the STD Claims Case Manager II, you will administer and manage Group STD claims. You will work collaboratively to meet service deliverables and maintain exceptional customer service. You will work in a team-oriented culture that requires effective claim management skills to achieve positive results.Responsibilities

Using efficient and effective means of outreach to obtain and/or dispense information to and from relevant parties

Communicating claim status and decisions via telephone and in writing

Initiating communications to obtain information, make assessment, and initial claim decision

Prioritizing and review new claims to adhere to established departmental turn around times

Meeting productivity requirements as established by department for handling "fast track" disability claims with limited durations

Investigating and analyzing claim information to determine coverage and benefit eligibility.

Reviewing financial records to determine insured earnings and payable benefits according to plan provisions

Following claim management procedures and identifying potential return to work, job accommodation opportunities when applicable.

Utilizing claim management resources with a goal of returning claimant to active work status

Partnering with Short Term Disability Case Manager III for ongoing claim managementRequirements

Possess outstanding customer service skills

Have excellent analytical skills, problem solving, and communication skills

Exhibit solid math aptitude and PC skills

Able to multitask and meet turnaround times

Able to clearly communicate claim decisions and contract language verbally and in written correspondence

Able to multi-task, balance goals and priorities a must

Able to work independently and within a highly collaborative team environment

Able to adapt to change

Have a minimum 2 years of disability claim management experience or other previous Group insurance experienceFlexible Working
