As the Director, User Experience (UX) Design you will be working within the Life Sciences division of Clarivate Analytics, on both existing and new web-based applications intended to meet the needs of professionals working across the drug development lifecycle.You will be responsible for meeting design objectives of individual projects (e.g. user research, delivering user interface designs to specification, validating usability with testing, etc.) while also supporting the strategic goals to increase the awareness and impact of User Experience (UX) activities across the organization's range of products.About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
10+ years of experience in UX design, with progressively increasing responsibilities and leadership roles
Bachelor's Degree or equivalentIt would be great if you also had
Proficiency in UX design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar, as well as a strong understanding of design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business goals and user needs into effective UX design strategies and solutions.
Deep empathy for users and a commitment to advocating for their needs throughout the design process.
Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and platform-specific design guidelines (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design) is often beneficial.
Experience in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.
Experience in understanding, data ingestion, interpretation and visualization of high-quality RWD sources, including electronic health records (EHR), claims, patient registries etc. from US and other marketsWhat will you be doing in this role?
Team Leadership: Provide leadership, architectural direction, and mentorship to the UX design team, including UX designers, researchers, and other relevant roles.
Strategy Development: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define UX strategies aligned with business goals and user needs.
UX Design: Lead the conceptualization, design, to include underlying data structures, and implementation of user interfaces and experiences for digital products, ensuring usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction.
User Research: Oversee user research initiatives to gather insights into user behaviour, preferences, and pain points, and use findings to inform design decisions.
Prototyping and Testing: Guide the creation of interactive prototypes and conduct usability testing to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and integration of UX design efforts.
UX Guidelines and Standards: Establish and maintain UX design guidelines, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across products and platforms.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate UX design strategies, recommendations, and findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage budget allocations and resource planning for UX design projects, including staffing, tools, and external vendors if necessary.
Visual Interpretation of data: overall owner for the effective visualization of use cases driven by data to include visual integration of RWD sources such as electronic health records (EHR), claims data, and patient registries across US and other markets.
Translating complex RWD analytical use cases into visuals and ensuring the consistency of platform modules' functionality between the markets.
Knowledge of RWD Compliance and Governance: Ensure that platform included provision that all RWD processes comply with regulatory re uirements.Management Responsibilities:
