A top software company for the retail and ecommerce industry is looking for a fulltime Database Engineer to join their team. This company, based in Philadelphia, empowers retailers to operationalize programs powered by Open Commerce and bring to market custom loyalty, commerce, and mobile storefront solutions. In this role, you will own, manage, and support all technical aspects of their AWS cloud hosted databases, from development through mission-critical production systems. The ideal candidate will configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance and availability. - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar experience
- 7+ years experience with relational database administration (PostgreSQL)
- 3+ years experience with cloud hosted database infrastructure (AWS)
- Strong understanding of clustering
- Experience with AWS RDS and Aurora
- Experience with NoSQL database technologies
- Experience with distributed, scalable, non-relational databases such as columnar, document, and time-series
- Software Development experience
