The Connect Engineering team is a fast-moving team of professionals that partners with a number of teams internally. We develop and test prototypes and new products and applications collaboratively supporting broadband network and operations. We are a team that analyzes and evaluates solutions both internally generated as well as those from third party supplier. In your role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations. You will be involved in the systems integration, test planning and test execution for cutting edge access network solutions. You will be integrating access network technologies across multiple disciplines, all lines of business and constantly seeking to improve the network performance and quality of experience of subscribers.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
Contributes to the development of testing and evaluates solutions presented to the Company by various internal and external partners and vendors. Contributes to case studies, testing and reporting.
Assists with conducting studies to support product or application development.
Support the Access Technology core team values of Courage, Curiosity, Trust, and Respect. Collaborate across teams with an open-minded perspective on new ideas with creative contribution on new technology, architectures and operational approaches.
Aid in building test networks and executing test plans to evaluate new RF designs
Contribute to hands on lab testing and validation of our 10G access network
Perform network measurements using spectrum, network, signal analyzers, traffic generators
Develop scripts and automation to collect and evaluate performance metrics
Create reports and presentations
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Skills
Educational background in communication systems, RF and optical technologies including subjects such as power, propagation, capacity, modulation, error correction, traffic, latency, and Internet and communication protocols
Proficient in Broadband RF, optical, or wireless network architectures
Programming/scripting experience including Python
Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation
Passion to learn new technology
Preferred Majors: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting March 31, 2025 through September 19, 2025.
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
