COMHAR provides a full array of recovery-oriented and quality-focused services. Our services are diverse, from outpatient treatment to residential and day services aimed at bringing high quality supports to members in ways that support their individual recovery.The Certified Investigator role is important in ensuring the health and safety of members through completion of investigations per the ODP Certified Investigator process. This is a per diem (as needed) position and reports to the Senior Director of Quality Improvement, with support from the Assistant Director of Quality Improvement.SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Conduct investigations according to the Office of Development Programs (ODP) investigation standards for the IDD Division and Behavioral Health Division, when needed. Responsible for independently self-managing investigation timelines, completing thorough and timely reports, and clearly presenting investigation findings to the Administrative Review Committee. Responsible for timely tracking of investigations on data spreadsheets, timely entering of investigations into the Enterprise Management System (EIM), and storage of investigations according to the department's expectations.

Attends and participates in the investigation peer reviews and administrative review committee, as needed.

Attends and participates in departmental staff meetings, as needed.

Maintains compliance with all COMHAR policies and procedures with no unauthorized exception.RequirementsKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Excellent communicator who has strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and writing skills to successfully is a must for this position.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage and execute task/project completion in a thorough, detailed orientated, and timely manner is a must for this position.

Must have strong time management skills and the ability to comfortably prioritize tasks to thorough and timely completion.

Must be able to remain objective and nonreactive in all situations and communications demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential.

Must have a valid driver's licenses and have access to a personnel vehicle and ability to drive to other COMHAR locations.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in human services preferred, including, but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology or 6 to 10 years' experience in either Behavioral Health or IDD Programs.

Current Certified Investigator Status upon hire through the Office of Developmental Services. Must maintain credentials.

Must be familiar with ODP's Incident Management Bulletin, Incident Investigation Manual, Peer Review Manuel, and Administrative Review.

Familiar with ODP regulation is preferred.

Familiarity with EIM systems or must have the initiative to learn systems toward comfortable navigation.

Experience working in social services, mental or behavioral health field.Apply
