Job Summary:
The Business Services and Outsourcing (BSO) Associate is responsible for performing general accounting functions for small to mid-size organizations.
This role will work a sporadic & fluctuating schedule.Job Duties:
Prepares and processes accounts payable invoices
Processes accounts receivable transactions
Processes general ledger reconciliation (cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets)
Assists with basic financial statement preparation and account reconciliations
Participates in audit preparation as needed
Performs basic payroll processing
Completes all appropriate data entry within client financial systems
Interacts with client staff to gain information, documents and data necessary to complete assigned tasks
Communicates significant client issues to supervisor
Prepares schedules to support firm's audit preparation and tax compliance requirements
Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
Bachelors degree, required; focus in Accounting or Finance, preferred
Experience:
One (1) or more years of experience performing general accounting transactions and functions, required
License/Certifications:
N/A
Software:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, required
Experience utilizing industry standard accounting software such as Great Plains, Peachtree, QuickBooks and/or Solomon, required

Strong analytical and basic research skills
Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment

Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
Basic knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, finance, tax and investment principles
Capability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr
California Range: $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr
Colorado Range: $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr
NYC/ Long Island/Westchester Range: $30.00/hr - $40.00/hr
