salary structure.Learn more about the "T" salary structure.A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.Summary:The Associate Director of Admissions reports to the Assistant Vice Provost of Enrollment Management and is responsible for managing the recruitment and evaluation of domestic, first year undergraduate students. This position will manage professional and/or support staff in implementing the university's enrollment management goals and objectives. Coordinates and performs all aspects of domestic, first year undergraduate admissions, including but not limited to, recruitment, presenting on-campus information sessions to prospective students and their families, application file review, interviewing, and assisting with transfer credential evaluations. Represents the Assistant Vice Provost of Enrollment in various meetings in their absence. Serves as a liaison to various schools, colleges, and offices on campus, as well as represent the university at on and off-campus domestic, first year recruitment events. Identifies and maintains partnerships with agencies, alumni and others. Other primary duties incude leading diversity initiatives, in addition to programming specifically as it relates to students who live in Philadelphia. Completes a wide variety of undergraduate admissions and enrollment management projects as assigned by the Assistant Vice Provost of Enrollment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Click here to learn more about the benefits of working at Temple University.Required Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree and at least five years of admissions or related experience in a higher education environment. At least three (3) years of supervisory experience. Experience speaking in front of large and small groups to deliver information sessions, lectures, or speak at industry-specific conferences. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Required Skills & Abilities:Demonstrated evidence in building strong working relationships with key stakeholders on and off-campus.

Demonstrated interest in working with high school students, parents, counselors and community-based organizations about the college admission and/or financial aid process.

Ability to travel throughout a geographic region in the United States.

Must be able to travel to offsite locations that may not be accessible via public transportation.

Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of students, parents, staff and faculty.

Excellent organization and time management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a diverse team environment.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to maintain confidentiality with student records.

Demonstrated ability to utilize an electronic student information system.

Ability to lift boxes of promotional material of approximately 20 pounds.

Ability to work early mornings, nights and/or weekends, as needed.Preferred
