Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our client's team located in the Philadelphia region. This Accounting Manager role involves supervising a team of accountants, performing financial reviews, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to grow in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough reviews of monthly income statements and balance sheets.
Evaluate reserves and offer recommendations based on their status.
Guide, coach, and develop a team of accountants to ensure operational efficiency.
Engage with essential business unit members to comprehend significant variances in trends and the main factors influencing business outcomes.
Confirm that financial reporting tasks comply with the internal control framework.
Work in partnership with the FP& A team to synchronize internal management reporting packages.
Assist the corporate consolidation team with company reporting and respond to inquiries regarding business performance.
Facilitate different stages of the annual audit, including interim and year-end testing, and handle audit inquiries.
Employ Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning tools to streamline workflow.
Maintain precision and efficiency when using JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for Income Statements, Balance Sheet Reviews, and General Ledger management.
Requirements
The ideal Accounting Manager candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in systems, finance or accounting strongly preferred. CPA preferred.Other requirements for the Accounting Manager position include and are not limited to:
5+ years GL accounting experience,
Manufacturing, ecommerce, retail experience preferred
Experience in retail, eCommerce, manufacturing, or distribution industries
Experience working with enterprise-level ERP systems like JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP, etc.
Outstanding communications, analytical, planning, data gathering, critical thinking and teamwork skills
Strong collaboration and communication skills to achieve company goals
