Job Description - Data Engineer
Data Engineer : Key Responsibilities:- Develop and enhance software based on business requirements
- Develop software based on conceptual and technical designs; define and conduct unit testing
- Collaborate effectively within a global IT environment across multiple divisions
- Assist with migration to and adoption of Cloud-based technologies and infrastructure
- Assist in migrating data and process between systems, as well as complete integrations.
- Analysis, Design, Development and Unit-Testing of development tasks/projects
- Act as a catalyst for the local team to build skills outside of the current technological footprint
- Provide support for existing production queries/support issues
- Share insight and experience regarding DevOps
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in information technology as an application developer, preferably in the Finance or Asset Management industry.
- Proven problem solving skills and the ability to independently debug and diagnose problems
- Experience developing in Python
- Familiarity working with public cloud/AWS including but not limited to: sever less solutions, Ec2 instance building, E3, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps, building data pipelines, etc.
- Proficiency with relational database design and SQL programming (SQL Server or Sybase)
- Ability to work on multiple projects, manage user expectations and complete work requests within the stated or expected deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders and business partners
