Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team. The SPED Teacher will provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with diverse learning needs, implement IEP goals, and foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. This role is essential to ensuring that every student receives the tools, strategies, and encouragement they need to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to students’ IEPs and learning needs.

Provide direct instruction and academic support in a resource room or inclusive classroom setting.

Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.

Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff to support student success.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of measurable goals and accommodations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).

Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education (required).

Previous experience working with students with IEPs and diverse learning needs.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.
