Preschool Teacher Responsibilities
1)Planning and implementing activities for children in care under the supervision of group supervisor, to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the group, including songs, games, and storytelling.
2) Provide varied activities and equipment for use.
3) Provide weekly and monthly schedules of activities.
4) Develop culturally appropriate programs and activities.
5) Develop activities that introduce math and literacy concepts.
6) Be familiar with emergency procedures.
7) Observations of children and planning and implementing activities to encourage growth of children.
8) Be familiar with Stars programming.
Preschool Job Requirements
A MUST HAVE: An associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field and 2 years of experience OR an associate's degree with 30 credit hours in the early childhood education, elementary education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field with 3 years of experience.
Current health appraisal
Current clearances (within 5 years) of child abuse and criminal history clearance, NSOR and fingerprint clearance.
References a must.
Current CPR/First Aid certification
